Butter Island Nature Centre
Get your binoculars! On the river, come and discover the wild fauna and flora of the Rhône through walking routes in the heart of a protected natural site: the Ile du Beurre. You can enjoy it all year round. Numerous activities on offer!
The Observation Centre offers educational activities for groups (schools, leisure centres, associations, etc.) as well as for the general public on various themes (listening to bird songs, discovering the beaver, learning about the natural environment of the Rhône, mushroom outings, etc.). The annual programme of guided outings ("The 4 seasons of the Ile du Beurre") is available on the website www.iledubeurre.org
The discovery trail and the observatories, which are freely accessible all year round, allow visitors to discover the site, observe the fauna and obtain information.
Closed temporarily, open again in 2024.
Binoculars for hire: €1
The outdoor site is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Guided tours are accessible to children from 4 years old (some activities from 7 years old - see website).
