Pilat Rhodanien – Around Mont Monnet – Loop 1.2

Longes

The Rhone Pilat offers magnificent bike rides for experienced or more occasional cyclists.

Description

Sporty side
From the village of Longes, this route of only 18 km, all uphill or downhill without excessive slopes, is done quite quickly and easily.
This allows you to enjoy the landscapes of Pilat Rhône while climbing 2 passes (Cols de Grenouze and Cols de Chassenoud). This ride lends itself well to an outing with cycling friends.

Tourism side
Mont Monnet is one of the summits of Pilat located at the northern end of the crest line of the massif. With an altitude of 780 m, an orientation facing the rising sun that no landscape barrier hinders, it is a remarkable belvedere in the Rhone Valley. On a clear day, the horizon line offers an overview of the chain of the Alps up to Mont Ventoux.
