ViaGusta

Saturday 18 May

The ViaGusta: a gastronomic itinerary along the Rhône!

Get on board for the 3rd edition of the bistronomic cycling itinerary along the ViaRhôna, the cycle path that winds its way from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean! From Vienne to Condrieu, between the river and the hillsides, the route is transformed into a 9-kilometre restaurant and offers a tasty journey in five stages, from aperitif to dessert.

To mark the occasion, a number of renowned local chefs will be coaching the brigade of around a hundred students from the Institution Robin’s Lycée Hôtelier to pass on their savoir-faire. Four of them have chosen to take up the challenge: Renaud Bur from 774, Remy Thomas from Jardins de Saint-Germain, Patrick Henriroux from La Pyramide**, and Philippe Girardon from Domaine de Clairefontaine* (Chonas-l’Amballan).

The region’s various wine and cheese appellations were also present for this challenge: the emblematic Rigotte de Condrieu, as well as the wines of Vienne-Seyssuel, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph, for some fine food and wine matches…

Maitre d’hôtel at every stage, plate service… La ViaGusta is a real ‘open-air restaurant’!
